Art Scavenger Hunt
Great activity for a fun day of moving around and working on art skills! Students had a blast doing it, I suggest having prizes for every contestant as excitement level deteriorated after the first three to finish claimed their prizes!

Surrealism Introduction
This lesson is an introduction to the art history movement Surrealism. Students get the chance to play a game that Surrealist artists used to play at their parties. This is meant to be an introduction to a larger project where students research a Surrealist artist and create a presentation to share with the class on that artist. Teacher should select artists for students to choose from.
* This would be a great Halloween lesson, given the name of the game "Exquisite Corpse"
* MOMA Surrealism slideshow can be found here: http://www.moma.org/wp/moma_learning/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Surrealism_Overview.ppt

Frank Stella Inspired 3D Wall Art
This lesson is to introduce students to living artist, Frank Stella. This was used as a transition from colour theory into patterns. Since it was started close to Christmas, students were using holiday themed patterns and palettes. It was a great lesson, students loved it and the class bulletin board looked modern yet festive!
* The slideshow which introduced Frank Stella perfectly: http://www.kizoa.com/slideshow/d2035159k7676472o1/frank-stella
